Day 1

While it is a little disheartening to start 2014 off without my love I have positive feelings about this new year.  I realize that it could be worse and that I have much to be grateful for.  A few things that I am especially thankful for today are:

• the $17 I found in my jeans pocket upon putting them on (found money always makes you smile!)
• my son coming home from being with his dad for a few days.  We were able to watch the Winter Classic hockey game together.  Of course not my first choice but time with him was so worth it.
• that T was here to shovel the snow.  A teenage son is so handy!
• my three animals - all of which have snuggled with me at one point today.
